Unilens Vision Introduces New Contact Lenses For Presbyopia
Speciality contact lens manufacturer Unilens Vision has just announced the launch of a new product. It is a monthly silicone hydrogel contact lens for presbyopes called C-Vue ADDvantage Multifocal.
The product combines Unilens’ cutting-edge technology and design, the company said. Among its advantages are ease of fit and the ability to provide clear vision at any distance for people with presbyopia. The ease of fit is attributable to a consistent near ADD power in all profiles. C-Vue ADDvantage is also thinner and more comfortable due to its more rounded edges. According to Unilens R&D director Denis Rehse, eye care professionals also benefit as chair time is reduced.
The new product is available in a high ADD and a low ADD and power ranges from +6.00 to -10.00. The lens also sports an aspheric design with a consistent center ADD power across all power ranges.
Given the growing number of people diagnosed with presbyopia, Unilens is pleased to help address this problem though a next-generation solution, company sales and marketing VP Kelly McKnight said. There is rising demand for a superior technology that meets the specific eye care needs of presbyopes and Unilens offers that as part of its latest solution. The launch of C-Vue ADDvantage Multifocal is the latest proof that Unilens remains committed to providing the best solutions to people with specific vision problems. According to McKnight, the new lens will live up to the high expectations and will get an enthusiastic reception both from the eye care professional community and contact lens wearers.
